RAIC Emerging Professionals :

A New Voice for Emerging Practitioners in Architecture

Over the past two years, Interns from all across Canada have come together to establish a new voice for emerging practitioners in the profession of architecture.  This year, at the RAIC Festival in Nanaimo, we are proud to be officially launching the RAIC Emerging Practitioners / IRAC Relève professionelle!

The RAIC EP/IRAC RP is a national organization founded, directed and governed by emerging practitioners in the field of architecture.  Our team is made up of students, intern architects and recently licensed architects from across Canada, and we are looking to grow our team in order to strengthen the voice of and connect emerging practitioners across Canada.

Our mission is to serve, inspire and advocate for the continued professional growth of emerging practitioners on their path to licensure. The RAIC EP/IRAC RP will serve as a link and provide a sense of continuity in the professional development of emerging practitioners from students in an academic setting through to becoming licensed members of the architectural profession.  The RAIC EP/IRAC RP will act as an advocacy group, providing emerging practitioners with a venue for support, networking, and contributing to the practice of architecture in Canada.  We will promote the value and image of the profession through a nationally united forum of emerging practitioners.  With the launch of the RAIC EP/IRAC RP, there will finally be a strong, ambitious and energetic body to unite and empower emerging practitioners across Canada and ensure our voices, ideas, and concerns are heard.

Interns are energetic and motivated members of the architectural community, we want to harness this energy and those fresh ideas, and use them to help us make an impact on the sustainability, promotion and success of our profession.

Right now, we want you to hear from all you emerging architectural game-changers! Visit our website at raicep.ca and get in touch with us to become a part of this ambitious new group.  Then check out our national logo competition where we are asking emerging practitioners across the country to help us shape the identity of the RAIC EP/IRAC RP and ultimately the way the world will see us.  We can’t wait to show the world what we can do!
